Don’t expect a long battery life – it’s a gaming laptop. It doesn’t have a touch screen – so I’m confused as to why rate features are asking me to rate the touch screen. There isn’t a touch screen on this laptop – if there is – then something is wrong with mine. Anyway – screen in the top left and top right corner came a little distorted and every now and then it has a few spots towards the task bar. Distorted – I mean just a slight discoloration but it doesn’t effect what I can see or any of that nature and only happens sometimes. The corner distortion is typical – it’s generally related to laptops being transported/packaged in general. Just be gentle when traveling with it and you shouldn’t have any issues. You should be gentle in general. The power block with the chord is big. I think it’s a little pricey being that it’s slightly aged with windows 8.1. Also it kept refusing to update because it hadn’t been properly updated since like 2015 or something weird (makes sense for being an aged laptop). So you’re going to have to catch up on a lot of updates. I got it with the help of a friend, but be prepared. Some of those are vital updates you’re going to want to have for your games. I mainly wanted this one because the newer ones are kind of phasing out the disc drive – the disc drive button is a little sensitive on this one but isn’t really an issue.

This is all in all a very good computer. I made a change to a SSD and doubled the RAM right away. That made Win 10 boot in about 10 seconds. It’s literally that fast. The standard HDD that came with it, while fast for a notebook was more in the range of 30-45 seconds. The computer is light enough and looks good. The numpad on the keyboard is a really nice thing to have. The touch pad is larger than many I’ve seen and makes using it much more enjoyable. The two biggest reasons that I did not give this a 4 star rating is the screen and battery life. Both are quite poor compared to the other features. The screen only have good viewing when you are directly 90 degrees to it, any view off angle looks pretty horrible. The battery from my experience lasts about 1-1.5 hours and is not removable so you get what you get and then need to find an outlet.
